Job Summary

SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, directs and coordinates all aspects relating to the manufacture and/or packaging of specialty silicone products using a variety of equipment and processes. Knowledge of OSHA, NFPC, HazWoper, and other governmental regulatory requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 820, cGMP, ISO, FDA, etc.) required. Working knowledge of functions within a typical business supply chain (e.g., shipping, receiving, order procurement / purchasing, scheduling and execution) required. Job Summary

Responsible for Quality System maintenance. Job Summary

The Chemist - Analytical (QC) is responsible for preparing and testing samples from R&D, Manufacturing and incoming raw materials processes. The Chemist will also identify outside resources necessary to provide further analyses which are not available in-house. Chemist will also be responsible for developing analytical methods, training other team members, and taking responsibility for proper maintenance of testing equipment through internal and external resources.

Responsibilities:
Support the Manufacturing team to provide accurate analysis of materials according to quality control plans. Report the results in a timely manner with a high accuracy.

Audit test results, batch records, and documentation for accuracy and completeness; Utilize statistical tools to validate quality data and assure correlation to guidelines and specifications. Utilize all elements of the quality system to identify, classify and control the status of products produced. Utilize both written and electronic means are utilized for analysis, tracking and record retention.

Develop methods for analytical and specific chemical analysis that meet the needs of the business for accuracy and repeatability. Perform advanced studies including Gage R&R studies, test method development, procedure writing and process flow.

Perform and maintain routine calibration and light maintenance of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and standards. This may also include the coordination of outside service calls.

Operate analytical equipment and handle chemicals safely according to the operating methods and company safety protocols. Utilize proper techniques.

Provide training to other team members on those functions.





 


Qualifications


Education:
BS degree in Chemistry or related field 

Expertise in analytical chemistry, with 2-5 years of laboratory experience. Experience in volume chemical manufacturing is desired.

Familiarity with CAPA, SPC, SOP’s, FMEA, 6 Sigma, and other quality and  related manufacturing tools is strongly desired. Strong data analysis capability is required.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems strongly desired. Strong PC skills: solid understanding of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Needs to be a hands-on, can-do individual willing to take on challenges; be comfortable working in a fast-paced, self- managed environment with aggressive goals.

Strong relationship and organizational skills to effectively work with a positive team approach.

Job Summary

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: • BS degree and at least 10– 20+ years of Project Management experience in a Drug-Device Product Development environment. • Understanding of overall product development process, including stages of development and role of different functional areas. • Working knowledge of the chemical sciences with technical, scientific or medical expertise in one or more functional areas involved in biologic product development. • Understanding of early and late phase preclinical and clinical development stages, processes and decision criteria for moving programs through the development pipeline as well as considerations relevant to post-marketed development and life cycle management. • Knowledge of core cross-functional concepts (preclinical, translational, Chemistry Manufacutring, Controls) and major requirements at different development stages. • Basic knowledge of worldwide regulatory and quality requirements, processes and regulatory authority interactions, as well as patent protection and records management. • Understanding of commercial valuation, product life cycle planning, pricing and health economics. • Expertise in use of project management software solutions, including skills in critical path analysis. Job Summary

Identifies and corrects potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations; may assist in activities related to hazardous waste disposal such as proper waste stream identification/classification and ensuring that these streams are properly segregated and adhered to; performs routine tasks such as cleaning, weighing, and set-up of systems for operation, packaging, and in-process testing. Corrects routine and non-routine problems by analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting equipment / process problems. Performs in-process QC testing and accurate documentation; also is able to quickly draw conclusions from the results being generated; maintains control of area inventory by cycle counting, verifying accuracy of inventory and correcting issues; interfaces with other personnel and / or departments to achieve production goals and product shipment requirements. Verifies and ensures that materials/supplies are properly labeled and stored.


Qualifications
