Founder and Chairman
Dick Compton serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for NuSil, where he provides guidance and leadership to the company drawing on 50+ years in the silicone and medical device industries.
Dick Compton co-founded NuSil Technology in 1979 and has guided the company through three decades of growth since then. He has over 50 years of experience in the silicone industry, including formulation development, business development and operations.
Dick began his career at Dow Corning in 1963, where he spent 10 years in various chemical engineering capacities. Prior to co-founding NuSil, in 1974 he co-founded McGhan Medical (an intraocular lens and mammary prosthesis manufacturer), where he served as Vice President of R&D and Engineering. He was also a key executive at Heyer-Schulte, a mammary prosthesis manufacturer, where he served as Vice President of R&D and Engineering.
Dick holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan.
